    Muhammad Selman

    Muhammad Selman was a Lebanese film director, writer, and actor, recognized for his contributions to Lebanese cinema during the mid-20th century. Born in 1923, he began his career in the entertainment industry as a singer, collaborating with prominent Egyptian musicians such as Riyad El Sonbaty and Mohamed El Qasabgy. Transitioning into filmmaking, Selman directed and wrote numerous films that often blended musical and dramatic elements, reflecting the cultural milieu of the time. Notable works include Yasalam al hub (1963) and Afrah al chabab (1964). He was married to singer Najah Salam, with whom he had a daughter. Selman's films are noted for their storytelling and musical integration, contributing to the development of Lebanese cinema. He passed away on September 24, 1997, leaving behind a legacy in the Arab film industry.
