Ren Baoru, a screenwriter, graduated from Beijing Film Academy with a bachelor's degree in film literature. Since 1996, he has served as a director of the Chinese TV Screenwriter Working Committee, and has jointly created film and television works with screenwriter Gao Xuan, becoming a golden pair of film and television screenwriters.
