Ali Uğur

Ali Uğur (15 December 1929 - 27 December 1998), Golden Orange award-winning Turkish cinematographer.

Born on December 15, 1929 in the Fethiye district of Muğla, Ali Uğur dropped out of secondary school to become a photographer. In 1956, he started working as a cinematographer on the movie Fire. In his career, he worked as director of photography for 170 films until 1994. In 1962, he founded Eren Film and became a producer. Later, a street in Fethiye was named Cameraman Ali Uğur in his memory.

He was nominated among the "10 best cinematographers" by TÜRSAK at the "Best 10's" award ceremony for the 100th anniversary of Turkish cinema and won an award.
