István Bácskai Lauró

István Bácskai Lauró ( Budapest , May 14, 1933 – Budapest , August 13, 2020) Hungarian film director and screenwriter.

He was born as the child of István Bácskai and Erzsébet Lauró. He completed his secondary school studies at the Vörösmarty Mihály High School . In 1957, he graduated from the Academy of Theater and Film Arts , where he was Sándor Sára's classmate. Between 1957 and 1967, he was the director of MAFILM . Between 1959 and 1963, he worked in the Balázs Béla Studio , where he was a founding member. His first independent film, A Hamis Izabella , was completed in 1968 . Since 1989, Lauron Kft. executive director.

He worked alongside artists such as Márton Keleti , Károly Makk and László Ranódy .
